Sometimes I get frustrated with the music industry and people and music elitists.

Basically................

Also heres the view from outside my apartment:

More blurry photos...

That's the skirt I made to wear tonight to the (potentially last ever) Chiptunes gaming night / geeks-and-bleeps goth night at Swizzles. Come out and enjoy the music and video games.

My Ice Queen Halloween Costume!

This costume was so much fun to make, and I got to wear a very odd amount of white.

I had two versions of this outfit, princess mode and full-out vampire queen mode.
For both outfits I wore my white lingerie bodice which is very lacey and frilly and I love wearing it at any chance I get. I also wore a black wig, a pair of Scarecrow-brand vampire fangs, and some DIY accessories such as my icicle crown and my lacey-queen-collar, which doesn't show up great in this. I will be making DIY tutorials for those two items in the future.

More details after the break!

How to wear a spiked bra!

In response to a comment left on my DIY to do list by 1666 X 30, here are six ways I would suggest wearing a spiked bra.

Personally, I would like to wear it with my underbust corset, but I know that's not for every one. Spiked bras are pretty versatile though. They are easy to wear under an open jacket or vest with jeans (depending on how much skin you want to show), but can also be worn under loose fitting / off-the-shoulder shirts. Get an over sized t and snip until it fits!

To Do List: DIY's

DIY to do list

DIY to do list by goth-proxy

So I really do need to do more DIYs.
And I have quite a few planned.
Here's a few of my current inspirations / Goals:
1. Dangly Chain Collar
2. Lace Choker
3. Goth Hand Candy
4. Black Flower Crown
5. Body Chain Jewellery
6. Leg Garters
7. Studded Bra

I need to order a ton of cone stud beads for the bra. And I'll have to make a trip to a dollar store for some fake flowers... I'm not sure if I'll find them in black... that might have to wait until halloween to find those.

Fun plans!

Printables! Valloween cards

Print out and give to your dearest dead freinds.

And if you'd just like some silly poems try these:

Roses are Red
Zombies are Green
Won't you be mine
This fine Valloween
-(Credit: I have no idea where I first heard this version, if you know it's origin I'd like to know who to credit :) )

Or the less friendly version:

Fresh hearts are bloody
Bruises are blue
You think I'm cruddy

And I hate your guts too
-(Credit: Me, although I'm sure there are similar versions out there)

How do you plan on spending this Valloween? With a darling, some buddies or alone? Or is it just another Friday for you?

Spikey Ear Muffs DIY

Lust- Must (DIY)

These fancy studded ear muffs would be super easy to DIY!

Just grab a pair of black ear muffs (you can find some at just about any accessories store or department store) And sew, rivet, screw or glue on some studs.

Try this online store for a good variety:

These Are Easy DIYs, why buy them?

Just don't...

Just don't... by goth-proxy featuring a herb scissors

Okay, so (one of) my biggest pet peeves with fashion (it's in the mainstream and the alternative brands) is "pre-shredded" clothing. There are two kinds:
  1. The kind that looks ripped and torn and weathered, common in jeans/ denim items, as well as the spider web effect found in shredded jersey material and nylon stockings.
  2. The kind that is pristine cut holes or slits, most of what is shown in the image above.
Both bother me immensely. (1) If your clothing is already falling apart when you buy it, there's an issue. (2) If you are being charged full price / more for a tshirt with holes cut in it there's a problem.

From the office to the club

From the office to the club by goth-proxy featuring black bags

As a fan of alternative subculture, you will find yourself still going to goth bars, going to punk shows, going to meet ups and "fancy" fun dinners with your alternative buddies outside your working hours. And so you should! But first you go home to change, because there's no way you'd go out in a blazer and your one good pair of black tights that have no holes.
But what do you do when you work far from home, your outing is right after work or going home to change simply isn't an option?
Never fear, options are available.

Various DIYs

Hello Darklings,

I thought I'd share some of myDIY creations from the last couple of months.
  1. A small  Pleather hand bag, with lace trim and an old belt as the strap. The pattern is my own creation.
  2. A leather collar. I made this out of some leather scrap I had lying about, and some salvaged hardware from a pair of pants the I had to get rid of.

  3. A leather collar of a different kind. I made this out of leather scraps as well and used small studs I bought online. A piece of ribbon as the clasp.
Let me know if you'd like a tutorial!

Cheers,

DIY Studded Collar

A Quick DIY Collar I made a while ago.

Hello Darklings,

Here's a quick DIY project I did a while ago. Studded collars can be oh so expensive sometimes. I decided to make one myself. I used studs I bought online (you can find them at quite reasonable prices, and some pleather I had left over from an earlier project. The hardware , clasp and such were salvaged from an old pair of pants I got rid of a while back.
