a haunted house of my very own

Lately I've been fantisizing about obtaining my very own space. I'm kind of living in limbo right now,as my internship is only temporary until I go back to school. And when I'm in school I shan't be making enough money to afford my own place. So my current living arrangement is a temporary one, although I'm very fortunate to have a roof over my head and a bed.

That being said I can't wait until I get to move out and decorate my own place. Black sheer curtains, black pillows, black blankets, black furniture.... Pumpkins and cute bats and fancy artwork and thrifted furniture and re-purposed items. I really can't wait.
One more year... and then I can find a more permanent job and hopefully a place of my own. Growing up isn't sooo bad.

Goth Gift Guide #1

The holidays are nearing closer!
I'm not a big fan of holiday hype... but I do participate in some activities because my friends and family enjoy the holidays.

And there are certain things that are enjoyable... right? Hot coco, apple cider, cookies. Food in general....
but I digress.

Part of the holidays are gift giving. Which is incredibly difficult to do sometimes. So here are my gift suggestions if you have gothy friends, perhaps this might give you a good starting point.

I'll probably make more of these guides, it's kind of fun. Next up, gifts for the artsy people.

Any suggestions on what kind of people you need help buying for?

Charming Lighting

Charming Lighting by goth-proxy featuring black and white shades

One of the best ways to get over the blahs of living in the "real world," that is to say, the lifestyle one might have to take up to be "adults," is decorating your home in oddities. I encourage you to create your own home DIY projects inspired by these charming oddities, but if you aren't for that, or don't have the time, or simply wish to splurge on some fabulous home decor, here five lamps (almost) under $50 that I've been coveting for my own home.
