DIY Flower Crown

I finally got around to making my flower crown a couple weekends ago. I've been wearing it every chance I get, I feel like a fairy wearing it.

AND
I remembered to take process pictures!

DIY instructions after the break

I apologize in advance for the poor quality cell phone pictures.

What you will need:

Tools:
  • Scissors
  • Wire cutters
  • Pliers
  •
Materials:
  • Wire
  • Floral tape/ Masking Tape
  • Fabric Flowers
  • Hot Glue
  • Ribbon

Step 1:

Use wire cutters to trim a long length of wire. Create a loop just big enough to fit on the crown of your head and not slip down around your neck. Be careful not to poke out your eye. Maybe use goggles. Bend the sharp tips back on themselves to prevent pointies.

Step 2:

Using the tape, tightly bind the wire loop, carefully hiding away any sharp or pointy bits of wire and creating a relatively smooth surface.

Step 3:

Choose your flowers and remove them from the longer stem. Leave a few inches of stem on each flower.

Step 4:

Arrange your flowers on your loop. Begin twisting and weaving the stems onto the wire loop, using hot glue to secure the flowers and stems in place. Trim as needed,

Step 5:

Wrap the crown securely in ribbon; use the ribbon to secure the flowers by weaving it into the stems and flowers. Carefully ensure any exposed tape or wire is hidden. Use hot glue sparingly to secure the ribbon. Remove any hot-glue-strings /webs.

And then....

Step 6: Wear it!

Super-unflattering selfie. But flowers are pretty!
